Our work claiming compensation for military injuries
Here are just a few examples of the successful claims that our Military Injury claims team have achieved for clients in recent years.
A Royal Marine Colour Sergeant sustained significant physical and mental injuries leading to medical discharge following an incident at CTC Lympstone. A six figure sum was negotiated at a settlement meeting. Here’s just some of what he had to say afterwards:
“I was introduced to Mike Shiers, who is Nash’s military claims expert. Mike listened to the facts and took the decision that there was a claim against the MOD. He shouldered the burden and took away a large proportion of the stress and anxiety.
Mike obtained legal insurance for me, so that if I lost my case, I would not be liable for costs.
A very important aspect to my case was the selection of expert witnesses. Mike has the ability to select the most reputable, credible and experienced experts who are well respected within the court circles.
I whole heartedly recommend Nash & Co Solicitors to any military person who has been injured whilst in service.”
One of our clients was a member of the RFA who developed an asbestos related disease during the course of his service on ships in the 1960s and 1970’s. The claim was successfully negotiated without the need for proceedings.
Our team have successfully negotiated a number of claims for PTSD following a near drowning event on board a nuclear submarine.
Another one of our clients was a Naval Rating who suffered career ending prolapsed disc whilst lifting a 200KG piece of equipment. His claim was successfully negotiated without the need for Court proceedings.
One client, a high ranking Royal Marines Officer, suffered catastrophic career ending injuries which resulted in a gross seven figure settlement agreement.
